Software tool selection plays a very large role in the development of an RF test system. Indeed, the implementation of the software portion of the test solution may be the largest engineering decision in RF testing. This is particularly true when choosing PXI modular hardware for test. Selecting hardware options such as frequency range, analysis bandwidth, sensitivity, accuracy, dynamic range and performance are not the only factors necessary for success in testing.
