Wideband Signal Analysis for Satellite Test, Reference Solution

This configuration guide contains information to help you configure your wideband signal analysis for satellite test, reference solution and tailor the system to meet your requirements.

Calibration services

The products in this solution are factory calibrated and shipped with an ISO-9002, NIST-traceable calibration certificate. A one-year calibration cycle is recommended. The N9040B UXA and N9030B PXA are supported by Keysight’s N7800A calibration and adjustment software to perform calibrations that test all product specifications and is compliant with ISO 17025:2005, ANSI/NCSL Z540.3-2006 and Measurement Uncertainty per ISO Guide to Expression of Measurement Uncertainty 1995.

Calibration and adjustment software

The N9040B UXA and N9030B PXA are supported by Keysight’s calibration and adjustment software. This is the same software used at Keysight’s service centers to automate calibration. The software offers compliance tests for ISO 17025:2005, ANSI/NCSL Z540.3-2006 and Measurement Uncertainty per ISO Guide to Expression of Measurement Uncertainty.

F. Example configurations

The wideband signal analysis for satellite test, reference solution is a flexible solution that can be configured in a number ways depending on desired measurement capabilities. The following are example configurations that may be used to meet specific needs. The wideband signal analysis for satellite test, reference solution is not limited to these configurations.

F1. UXA, 50 GHz, basic vector signal analysis

A basic configuration that allows for analysis of signals up to 50 GHz, with bandwidths up to 1 GHz. Analyze signals in the time and frequency domain, as well as make measurements such as AM/AM, AM/PM, gain compression, and analog demodulation of AM, FM, or PM signals.

F2. PXA, 44 GHz, custom satellite signal analysis

A configuration that allows for demodulation and analysis of basic and customized vector modulated signals, up to 44 GHz, with bandwidths up to 1 GHz.

G. PC requirements

The PC requirements for the wideband signal analysis for satellite test, reference solution are dictated by the PC requirements of the 89600 VSA software. Any laptop, desktop PC or Windows-based instrument may be used to run the 89600 VSA software, as long as it meets or exceeds the following minimum requirements.
